Multilingual Learning Product Design & Project Management
My Role: Project Manager & Learning Experience Design
Target Audience: Educators, trainers, and advisors supporting adult migrants
Key Skills Applied: Needs Analysis, LXD Frameworks, Wireframing & MVP Design, Stakeholder Management, User Testing & Pilots
Languages: Finnish, English
Background Building basic digital skills is essential for everyday life and employment, yet adult educators frequently lack adaptable, inclusive teaching tools designed specifically for multicultural and multilingual adult learners facing digital literacy barriers.
The Problem
Fragmented Resources: Trainers had to piece together materials from multiple different sources.
Inaccessibility: Standard digital literacy curricula were often too complex or lacked inclusive teaching frameworks.
Diverse User Needs: Learners varied significantly in language proficiency, prior tech exposure, and learning confidence.
To ensure the solution addressed genuine field challenges, I conducted field research over two months, involving key stakeholders across adult education and migrant integration sectors.
User Interviews: Conducted qualitative research sessions with 11 key stakeholders, including educators, NGO project leads, and guidance specialists.
Workshop: Based on the initial field research assessment, I organized a workshop with 13 specialists and a technical partner to gather data for developing a wireframe.
Key Insights Uncovered:
Practitioners needed lesson modules and content that could be adapted easily.
Visual-first navigation was critical for low-literacy or multilingual environments.
Guidance notes for teachers were just as important as the student-facing content.
From Concept to MVP As Project Manager, I bridged the gap between educational field knowledge and technical execution:
LXD & Pedagogical Design: Developed structured learning modules incorporating practical exercises, downloadable guides, and self-assessment tools by utilizing existing materials.
Technical Collaboration: Managed an external technical partner to build a responsive, user-friendly MVP.
Multilingual Alignment: Ensured content and UI elements were translated and localized clearly for Finnish and English environments.
We launched a structured pilot program to test the toolbox in real-world teaching environments and collected direct feedback for iteration. The pilot ran from August to December 2025.
Key Impact Metrics
Onboarded 24 Trainers on using the toolbox in their teaching through an adaptable workshop model tailored to diverse trainer needs.
105 End-Users Reached during the pilot phase.
66 Lesson Hours Delivered across six partner organizations.
Continuous Feedback Loops: Synthesized user feedback from individual interviews and Google Forms to refine lesson structures and website UX prior to the public launch.
Thesis Supervision: Supervised and collaborated with a University of Applied Sciences student on her development thesis.
Hybrid Launch Event: Reached 111 participants in person and via online streaming, including stakeholders from across the Nordic and Baltic regions.
Stakeholder Workshops: Brought together 12 stakeholders to plan the future of the Toolbox, ensuring continued active use after the launch.
Product & Project Ownership: Managed the full development lifecycle from initial discovery and stakeholder alignment to MVP delivery in English and 5 Nordic/Baltic languages (Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish) using Weglot.
User-Centric Design: Applied user experience principles to make complex digital skills training accessible for diverse, international user groups.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinated our technical partner, main partners, and supervisor and internal communicaiton team to deliver on time, within scope, and in line with funder policies.
